Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 24 October 2026

These terms explain how the Wren & I Photography website and our general booking information work. Wren & I Photography is based in Ballarat, Victoria. Questions are welcome at wrenandiphotography@outlook.com.

Your booking agreement

Website information helps you explore our services. An enquiry or browsing a booking page does not by itself reserve a date. We confirm availability, scope, price and booking requirements with you. Your accepted session agreement, quote and invoice set out the terms for your particular booking. These website terms do not retrospectively change an existing agreement. If anything appears inconsistent, please ask us to clarify before booking. Australian Consumer Law rights always apply.

Prices and payment

Prices are in Australian dollars. Wren & I is not currently registered for GST and does not charge GST. We will confirm the total price and any agreed travel, venue, permit or optional product costs before you commit. Optional extras are not added without agreement. Website price changes apply to future bookings and do not change an already agreed price.

For standard paid sessions booked more than seven days ahead, a 25% booking payment secures the date, with the balance due seven days before the session. For sessions booked within seven days, including exactly seven days beforehand, full payment is due on receipt of the invoice. Check your own invoice and agreement for the applicable dates and any expressly agreed alternative arrangements.

Changes, cancellations and refunds

Please contact us promptly if your plans change. The cancellation, rescheduling, weather, illness and late-arrival provisions in your accepted session agreement apply. A booking payment is not automatically forfeited simply because it is called a retainer. Under our current standard cancellation terms, any deduction is limited to reasonable, substantiated costs directly caused by the cancellation, capped at 25% of the session price, with reasonable steps taken to reduce loss and account for replacement bookings and costs saved. Any remainder is refunded within the contractual fourteen days. This is not a deduction applied to an eligible consumer-guarantee claim.

If we cannot provide the booked service, we will discuss a mutually suitable replacement date or refund payments for services not provided, as required by the agreement and law. These general website terms do not replace the particular cancellation terms already accepted for an earlier booking.

Your consumer rights

Our goods and services are subject to consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law. Nothing on this website or in our policies excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, repeat service, cancellation, refund or compensation. Contact us if a service, download or printed product has a problem so we can assess an appropriate remedy. A change-of-mind policy does not remove rights relating to a faulty product or service failure.

Photographs, downloads and galleries

Your collection description and accepted agreement explain which edited images and download rights are included. RAW files and unedited photographs are not included unless expressly agreed. Extra images, full-gallery upgrades and printed products are optional purchases.

Standard online galleries are available for six months from final delivery; agreed wedding/unrepeatable-event galleries are available for twelve months. Your delivery message confirms the relevant gallery details and expiry. Please download your purchased images and keep independent backups before expiry. Gallery expiry is separate from archive retention: standard delivered JPEGs are retained for five years and delivered-image RAWs for twelve months; the agreed extended periods are ten years for JPEGs and two years for selected RAWs. Gallery restoration may be available while JPEGs remain archived; ask us to confirm availability and any cost before proceeding.

Image use and privacy

The licence supplied with your booking or purchase governs your use of delivered photographs. Personal printing rights do not automatically include commercial advertising, resale or sublicensing. Ask us before using photographs outside the agreed licence. Photographs, text, logos and other material displayed on this website are owned by their respective rights holders or used with permission. Please do not copy, sell or republish website material without appropriate permission, except where the law allows.

Your permission for Wren & I to use session photographs in a portfolio, on the website or in promotion is handled separately through your session consent. A website visit, booking, purchase or review does not give blanket promotional consent. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and consent requests.

Using this website

Please use the website lawfully. Do not attempt unauthorised access, interfere with site operation or submit information you are not entitled to share. We aim to keep information accurate and the website available, but occasional errors or interruptions can occur. Tell us about an error so we can correct it and clarify any affected enquiry or order. This does not permit us to disregard an agreed price or consumer rights.

External links, galleries and payment services may have their own service terms and privacy policies. Those terms do not remove Wren & I’s responsibilities for the goods or services we supply.

Questions and complaints

Email wrenandiphotography@outlook.com with your name, booking or order reference, a description of the issue and the outcome you would like. Please avoid emailing full payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information. We aim to acknowledge complaints within five business days and provide a substantive response within thirty days, keeping you informed if more time is needed. You may seek assistance from Consumer Affairs Victoria or pursue any other available legal remedy; contacting us first is not a condition that removes those rights.

These website terms are governed by applicable Australian and Victorian law, without limiting mandatory consumer protections or where you are legally entitled to bring a claim. Future updates will show a new date above and will not retrospectively change an accepted booking.
